Moderation is achieved in a living environment dominated by pride and dignity. Without them, man and society lose the ability to follow the middle path, and become victims of excess and waste. It is certainly worth mentioning here that the great role in the formation of prejudices and extremism in relations between peoples is played by the restrictions of the person through the restrictions of nationalism, sectarianism and regionalism. Within the theme of this year’s World Islamic Forum, His Eminence Mufti Sheikh Rawi Ain al-Din indicated that we want to discuss the issue of a world order that can better support peaceful coexistence. Here we mean the world order that is based on the principles of justice and moderation. Justice, first and foremost, is one of the names of God Almighty. The Islamic tradition interprets justice by referring to the individual and his understanding of the good life.
Islamic thinkers have emphasized, since early times, that the ability to sense injustice and remove it is one of our most important defining qualities. In order to achieve what people consider to be justice, people are willing to sacrifice their own interests and endure deprivation, adding that it cannot be said that Western political thought has ignored the issue of justice. However, the thinkers of the present time and our contemporaries, who hardly go beyond the framework of the usual Eurocentrism, have followed the ancient philosophers, focusing primarily on the correct arrangement of institutions.
