وزير المالية يرأس وفد المملكة في اجتماعات الربيع لصندوق النقد ومجموعة البنك الدوليين للعام 2024م
يترأس معالي وزير المالية الأستاذ محمد بن عبداللّه الجدعان وفد المملكة المشارك في اجتماعات الربيع لصندوق النقد ومجموعة البنك الدوليين للعام 2024م، والتي ستعقد في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن خلال الفترة 6-11 شوال 1445هـ الموافق 15-20 أبريل 2024م.
ويضم الوفد السعودي معالي محافظ البنك المركزي السعودي (ساما) الأستاذ أيمن السياري، والرئيس التنفيذي للصندوق السعودي للتنمية الأستاذ سلطان المرشد، ومساعد وزير المالية للسياسات المالية الكلية والعلاقات الدولية الأستاذ عبدالمحسن الخلف، ووكيلاللجنة الدولية للشؤون النقدية والمالية الدكتور رياض الخريّف، وسعادة وكيل وزارة المالية للعلاقات الدولية الأستاذ خالد باوزير، بالإضافة إلى عدد من المختصين من وزارة المالية،والبنك المركزي السعودي، ووزارة الاقتصاد والتخطيط، والصندوق السعودي للتنمية،وهيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك.
خلال هذه المشاركة، سيترأس معالي وزير المالية اجتماع اللجنة الدولية للشؤون النقدية والمالية التابعة لصندوق النقد الدولي بعد إعلان رئاسة المملكة لها لثلاثة سنوات، ويهدف الاجتماع إلى تبادل وجهات النظر حيال تطورات الاقتصاد العالمي وآفاق النمو والمخاطر المحيطة به، ومناقشة أولويات السياسات الاقتصادية العالمية ودور الصندوق للتعامل مع هذه التطورات من خلال تقديم المساعدات المالية والمشورة وبناء القدرات الفنية للدول الأعضاء والدعم المالي للدول المحتاجة.
كما سيشارك معالي وزير المالية ومعالي محافظ البنك المركزي السعودي في الاجتماع الثاني لوزراء المالية ومحافظي البنوك المركزية لمجموعة العشرين تحت الرئاسة البرازيلية، حيث سيناقش الاجتماع عدد من القضايا الاقتصادية والتنموية العالمية، وطرق تعزيز التعاون الدولي لمواجهة تحديات الاقتصاد العالمي. وسيقوم معالي الوزير بالمشاركة في اجتماع لجنة التنمية التابعة لمجموعة البنك الدولي لمناقشة مستجدات أعمال وخطط التنمية العالمية التي تنفذها مجموعة البنك الدولي.
وتعد اجتماعات الربيع منصة تجمع وزراء المالية، ومحافظي البنوك المركزية، وكبار المسؤولين من المنظمات الدولية والقطاع الخاص، وممثلي منظمات المجتمع المدني، والأكاديميين لمناقشة عدد من الموضوعات الهامة بما في ذلك الاقتصاد والنظام المالي العالمي، والتنمية المستدامة، وسبل القضاء على الفقر، وغيرها من القضايا الاقتصادية والمالية.

Saudi Finance Minister Heads Kingdom’s Delegation
to IMF-WBG 2024 Spring Meetings
Washington, D.C. – April 14, 2024
His Excellency the Saudi Minister of
Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, will head the Kingdom’s delegation at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group 2024 Spring Meetings, to be held April 15-20, 2024 in Washington, D.C., United States.
The Saudi Delegation will also include H.E. the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) Mr. Ayman Alsayari; the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Mr. Sultan Almarshad; the Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations Mr. Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf; the Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif; the Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs Mr. Khalid Bawazier; and experts from the Ministry of Finance, SAMA, the Ministry of Economy and Planning(MEP), SFD, and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
Minister Aljadaan will chair the first meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) since the announcement of the Kingdom’s three-year Chairmanship. The IMFC members will exchange views on developments in the global economy, including growth prospects and risks. The members will also discuss global economic policy priorities and the role of the Fund in addressingthese developments through financial assistance, advice and capacity-development for members, as well as through provision of financial support to countries in need.
In addition, Minister Aljadaan and SAMA Governor Alsayari will participate in the 2nd G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting, currently under the BrazilianPresidency. The FMCBG Meeting aims to foster in-depth discussion on issues facing the global economy, as well as to enhance global cooperation to address them. His Excellency the Minister will also participate in a meeting of the Development Committee of the World Bank Group (WBG), which will discuss the strategies implemented by the WBG to respond to global development challenges.
The Spring Meetings serve as a platform to bring together ministers of finance, central bankers, international organizations, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the global economy, sustainable development, poverty eradication, and other economic and financial topics.
