وأكّد معاليه أن حوارات الرابطة الفعّالة والمثمرة كانت على مسارَين:
الأول: بين الداخل الإسلامي بكافة مذاهبه ومدارسِه، ونشأ عن ذلك “وثيقة مكة المكرمة”، و”وثيقة بناء الجسور بين المذاهب الإسلامية”، المنوّّه بهما من قِبل دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، ولا سيما توصية المنظمة بالاستفادة من “وثيقة مكة المكرمة” في المؤسسات الدينية والثقافية والتعليمية في الدول الإسلامية.
الثاني: بين الداخل الإسلامي وغيره، ونشأ عن ذلك مبادرة: “بناء الجسور بين الشرق والغرب” داخل الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، ومبادرة: “تحصين الشباب العالمي من أفكار التطرف والتطرف العنيف”، داخل الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، وكانتا بحضور قيادات الأمم المتحدة وقيادات دينية وفكرية وبرلمانية وأكاديمية وشبابية.
وأكّد فضيلتُه على أهمية السلام الوقائي الذي يتلافى في وقتٍ مبكّر كوارث الحروب الناشئة غالباً عن الصراع الحضاري بين الأمم والشعوب، مستعرضاً برامج الرابطة في تعزيز هذا السلام لأكثر من عَشر سنوات.
