In its new and exceptional version, the International Conference on Ethical Values in Prophet Mohammad’s Biography kicked off in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott. Senior scholars and Muftis from more than fifty countries attended the conference.

President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Sheikh Al-Ghazwani, sponsored the conference. The President affirmed to Secretary General of the Muslim World League Dr. Al-Issa that Mauritania is proud of holding this conference, highly spoking about Prophet Mohammad’s greatest biography.

During this meeting, the Mauritanian President awarded the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and head of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Mauritanian National Order of Merit for his international efforts in clarifying the true image of Islam. This was done through a great ceremony attended by a number of ministers and senior Mauritanian officials, followed by honoring Sheikh Al-Issa by the president and members of the Council of Senior Scholars of Mauritania.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa spoke before the conferees of senior scholars and participating Islamic figures, saying: “Happy to be among a group of senior scholars and Muftis in a great gathering that draws inspiration and lessons from Prophet Mohamed’s greatest biography.”  Dr. Al-Issa added: “Yes, we are pleased with this conference held on the greatest biography ever, the Biography of our Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him). Allah the Almighty says in the Holy Quran: “O Prophet! Lo! We have sent thee as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And as a summoner unto Allah by His permission, and as a lamp that giveth light.” Dr. Al-Issa continued: “As we review these glorious meanings and we recall the guidance of Islam in the best and greatest biography ever, the biography of Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him). Our Prophet Mohamed managed to unite the hearts of the arrogant Arabs, the most fanatical and ignorant of them, until they entered the religion of Islam in groups, and their Islam became good and their morals greatly improved. When we consider the “Hudaibia Peace Settlement”, we discover that Prophet Mohammad applied the greatest theories of international diplomacy.

Dr. Al-Issa explained that Islamic scholars wrote Prophet Mohammad’s biography in a very clear and understandable way and clarified through their explanations and analyzes the noble meanings in the chapters of the biography. He also stressed that every Muslim is eager to know more details about our Prophet Mohamed (Peace Be Upon Him) and this occurred as Allah the Almighty preserved that fragrant biography as He preserved His upright religion. Allah the Almighty says: “Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much.

Dr. Al-Issa continued: “The Muslim World League has been honored to launch museums of the Prophet’s biography “around the world”, headquartered in Madinah. These museums included highlighting the details of the biography of our Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) carefully documented through a presentation that adopted the best contemporary technical means under the slogan: “The Prophet’s Biography as If You Live It.” Yes: these museums provided a comprehensive description of the Prophet’s biography using state-of-the-art methods that take you emotionally to those sacred spaces.

Dr. Al-Issa pointed out that the museum, in its advanced versions, will provide more description and details about Prophet Mohamed’s life as he signed the greatest treaty (Document of Hudaibia) ever in the history of Islam. That document included material full of Islamic tolerance. Dr. Al-Issa stated that all of this establishes a complete understanding of Prophet Muhammad’s biography which gave a great deal to the inevitability of difference, diversity and plurality among human beings. He added that Islam that believes in the inevitability of difference and diversity, calls for peace, co-existence and harmony, and it establishes the possibility of this by word and deed. Dr. Al-Issa continued: “At the guidance of this document, the “Makkah Charter” was issued, which was signed by more than one thousand and two hundred muftis and senior scholars, and more than four thousand and five hundred Islamic thinkers. The “Makkah Charter” is the most important, comprehensive and strongest Islamic document “of its kind” after the Medina document (Document of Hudaibia).”

Then the speeches of the senior guests were read out, and the conference then proceeded with the axes of its sessions.
